Issue 37, “The Tale of Fel’Qad”
Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 12:00 amI have to say I’m really proud with how this one came out. In looking for photo reference for the ruined city I stumbled upon a pic of ruins that was framed by an archway. I used this inspiration for the opening panel. The rest of the comic flowed perfectly with this.
There is a lot of backstory that accompanies the comic. Any good fantasy epic should have a rich history and lore. Unfortunately I am forced to stick to Al and Peter’s journey and cannot diverge too much (it would disrupt the chain of events). So I have been contemplating ways by which I can share these stories. Perhaps I can write a few of them out and feature them in my Short Thursdays segment. Or at least create a page with a bit more of the backstory.
In any event, those of you who are curious as to the tragic history of Fel’Qad, once Qadorien, will have to wait a little longer. I promise to share it one day.

I like the over-all mistiness you got going on.
Thanks, it’s the magic of photoshop!
