I was experimenting with a few new techniques for this issue, so the artwork might look a tad different. I’m not sure if I’ll stick with it, but such is an artist’s process. I’ll probably go back to the other page size I’ve been using lately, just because it’ll load faster.
Enough of all that boring stuff! Algerbane and Balthasar have a long history. I’m contemplating doing a series of issues telling a bit of that story, but I’m afraid it might interrupt their current adventure a little too much. If any would like to see Algerbane as a younger man (again) let me know. I might save it for a later time.

On the other hand, leaving us hanging wouldn’t be very nice either.
This is a most unusual reaction for Algerbane.
Also, with Balthasar the party is becoming quite unbalanced. Can’t they make friends with more non-wizards for a change?
don’t worry, felix, they’ll be plenty of new characters to chew on soon enough. Remember, the story revolves around a wizard, so don’t be surprised if many of the supporting characters will be as well. Balthasar is a figure from an important part of Al’s past, during a time when he was–as Bal said–a member of a council of wizards, so there were a bunch of em.
…”none other THAT Algerbane”…?
oop, I’ll fix that soon
LOVE the Shannara series! (From your bookshelf) I also liked Robert Jordan at first but seem to have overdosed on him somewhere along the way. I prefer plots that actually seem to have a chance of ending somewhere. Unaware of The White Company but I’m always up for something by Doyle.
those are all my to-read, so I can’t comment on how I like them, yet. but thanks for the input.
The Mad Kingmaker?
A bit irritated, perhaps, but mad? Never!
Ha! Well, I think the term referred to “mad” as in “crazy” and “driven,” like the “Mad Hatter.” Algerbane was a bit “unhinged” in those days, so to speak.
“… you silly twit… ”
Hilarious.
ahhh so he DOES know him! i knew it! lol! the plot thickens….
