I finally saw Scott pilgrim

September 17, 2010 by Adam Casalino

Nothing fantasy here, just thought I’d mention this.

I finally saw Scott Pilgrim. I had been meaning to see it much sooner, but inevitability of crap hitting the fan prevented me so. When I finally broke free of the tail spin the dreck of a theater near me was no longer showing it. Apparently it only caters to the low life guidos of Brooklyn that like loud explosions #brooklynsucks.

Thank God for Manhatten.

Scott Pilgrim is the future of comics and movies–rolled into an amalgamation that cannot be articulated with words. If the comic peoples would get their heads out of Spider-man’s ass they would find inventive talents like O’Malley and publish their stuff–instead of printing 10 titles for each superhero they own.

Until that golden day, I feel stories like Scott Pilgrim will only be told through alternative presses and the Internet. So support comics. Support web comics. And go see Scott Pilgrim (or at least plan to buy the DVD).
